Ben Gray has been an award-winning, full-time photojournalist for 30 years and a race-winning ultra-distance runner for the past 10. #Runography is his personal project of combining his two passions to inspire, entertain and share his explorations.

Photojournalism: Ben has built his own photography business based in Atlanta that specializes in documentary, photojournalism and commercial work. Previously Ben worked in Palestine shooting photos and videos for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land and the Lutheran World Federation. Prior to that, Ben was a photojournalist at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for 18 years, including four years running the photo department as the Visual Manager. He served on the board of directors of The Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, the longest continuously operating photojournalism seminar in the United States, for eight years.

Running: Ben began running at the age of 39 and ran his first race shortly after turning 40. In the 10 years since, he has raced more than 30 marathons and ultramarathons, including two 100-mile races. He generally finishes in the top 10% and has scored several first- and second-place overall finishes. He has run races throughout the US and in Slovakia, Romania, Palestine, Israel and Thailand.
